Note
The
scrapbook contains clippings of newspaper articles from New Jersey,
New York and Pennsylvania newspapers relating to every aspect of
the canal -- from major governmental issues to a mule obituary.
The clippings cover the period from 27 August 1922 (five months
after commissioners were appointed to negotiate terms of settlement
with the canal and railroad companies) through 20 February 1927. |
