Klett is operational chief of the State Archives, New Jersey's
official history research center and public records repository.
He is an active member of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Archives
Conference (MARAC) and the Advocates for New Jersey History.
He serves as a vice president of the Genealogical Society
of New Jersey and co-editor of The Genealogical Magazine of
New Jersey. In 2003, he received MARAC's Finding Aid Award
for his work to produce the State Archives' online catalog
and collection guides. |

Mappen is the co-editor (with Maxine Lurie) of the Encyclopedia
of New Jersey, and the author of Jerseyana: The Underside
of New Jersey History. He was vice chairman of the Task
Force on New Jersey History from 1996 to 1997. Mappen has
a Ph.D. in American history, and prior to coming to the New
Jersey Historical Commission was an associate dean at Rutgers
University. He resides in Highland Park. |

Turk combines many years of experience in the museum and education
fields with an abiding interest in New Jersey’s history.
He recently co-curated Caught in the Crossfire: Churches,
Taverns and Revolution in New Jersey. He serves on the
boards of the Mid-Atlantic Association of Museums and Advocates
for New Jersey History. Prior to coming to the State Museum,
Dr. Turk served as Director of the Salem County Historical
Society and Vice-President, Programs, Balch Institute for
