Ronald L. Becker (Head, Special Collections and University Archives, Rutgers University Libraries) Board member since 1997.
Mr. Becker is a founding member and past chairman of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Archives Conference (MARAC). He is also member of the Advocates for New Jersey History, New Jersey Studies Academic Alliance, Middlesex County Cultural and Heritage Commission, the Center for Jewish History, and the Society of American Archivists. He resides in Metuchen.

Lois R. Densky-Wolff (Head, University Libraries Special Collections, University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey) Board member since 2004.
Ms. Densky-Wolf is a member of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Archives Conference, past chair of MARAC’s New Jersey Caucus, and the first coordinator of the CAPES program (Caucus Archival Projects Evaluation Service). She is also a member of the New Jersey Library Association, Medical History Society of New Jersey, and Society of American Archivists. She resides in Berkeley Heights.

Joseph R. Klett (Chief of Archives, N.J. Division of Archives and Records Management, Deputy State Historical Records Coordinator) Designated 2006.
Mr. Klett is operational chief of the State Archives, New Jersey's official history research center and public records repository. He is an active member of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Archives Conference (MARAC) and the Advocates for New Jersey History. He serves as a vice president of the Genealogical Society of New Jersey and co-editor of The Genealogical Magazine of New Jersey. In 2003, he received MARAC's Finding Aid Award for his work to produce the State Archives' online catalog and collection guides.

Maxine N. Lurie, Ph.D. (Chair, History Department, Seton Hall University) Board member since 1999.
Dr. Lurie co-edited the Encyclopedia of New Jersey with Marc Mappen. She is a member of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Archives Conference and past chair of MARAC’s New Jersey Caucus. She is also a member of the Advocates for New Jersey History, New Jersey Council for History Education, and is current chair of the New Jersey Studies Academic Alliance. She resides in Piscataway.

Lisa C. Mangiafico (Cybrarian/Information Specialist, Soroptimist International of the Americas) Board member since 2004.
Ms. Mangiafico is a member and current chair (2003-05) of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Archives Conference, and serves as a consultant for the CAPES program (Caucus Archival Projects Evaluation Service) of MARAC’s New Jersey Caucus. Marc Mappen, Ph.D. (Executive Director, New Jersey Historical Commission) Board member since 2000.
Dr. Mappen is the co-editor (with Maxine Lurie) of the Encyclopedia of New Jersey, and the author of Jerseyana: The Underside of New Jersey History. He was vice chairman of the Task Force on New Jersey History from 1996 to 1997. Mappen has a Ph.D. in American history, and prior to coming to the New Jersey Historical Commission was an associate dean at Rutgers University. He resides in Highland Park.

Karl J. Niederer (Director, N.J. Division of Archives and Records Management), State Historical Records Coordinator Board member since 1987.
Mr. Niederer serves ex officio as Coordinator of NJSHRAB. He is a member and past chairman of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Archives Conference. He is currently a director of the Council of State Historical Records Coordinators, a member of the Advocates for New Jersey History, and a member and past president of the Swiss American Historical Society. He edited Hopewell: A Historical Geography, an award-winning study of historic resources in central New Jersey by R. W. Hunter and R. L. Porter.

Ben Primer, Ph.D. (Associate University Librarian for Rare Books and Special Collections, Princeton University) Board member since 1998.
Mr. Primer is a member and past vice-chairman of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Archives Conference, and a past chairman of MARAC’s New Jersey Caucus. He is also a member of the Society of American Archivists, Midwest Archives Conference, and the Society for Historians of American Foreign Relations. He authored American Civil Liberties Union, The Roger Baldwin Years, 1917-1950: Guide to the Scholarly Resources Microfilm Edition. He resides in Hopewell Borough.

James F. Turk, Ph.D. (Curator of Cultural History, New Jersey State Museum) Board member since 2000.
Dr. Turk combines many years of experience in the museum and education fields with an abiding interest in New Jersey’s history. He recently co-curated Caught in the Crossfire: Churches, Taverns and Revolution in New Jersey. He serves on the boards of the Mid-Atlantic Association of Museums and Advocates for New Jersey History. Prior to coming to the State Museum, Dr. Turk served as Director of the Salem County Historical Society and Vice-President, Programs, Balch Institute for Ethnic Studies. He resides in Mullica Hill.

Ethel M. Washington (History Programs Coordinator, Union County Division of Cultural and Heritage Affairs) Board member since 2004.
Ms. Washington coordinates the county’s major history events and programs, including the annual showcase of historic house museums and sites, “Four Centuries in a Weekend…A Journey through Union County History” and the Union County History Re-Grant Program. She resides in Plainfield.
